Catriona Morton

Business analyst by day, boxing yogi by night – Catriona likes to keep fit in her free time and, of course, pop in to the odd GYP event!  Read more about her below.

What’s your background?

I’m from Peebles in the Scottish Borders.  I moved to Glasgow to work, but liked it so much I decided to stay and go to Strathclyde University.

Tell us about your job.

I work for Metis Partners as a business analyst but also oversee marketing too.  I didn’t really choose the job but rather fell into it – I originally went to work at Metis to pass the summer months before going back to University to do a Masters; however they offered me a full time permanent role so I decided to stay.

If money and time were no object, what would you do?

Probably travel the world – predictable but true…

When you’re not working what do you enjoy doing?

I really quite like being active, I enjoy boxing, running and yoga and have recently started hill walking too. I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2011 and teach in my spare time which often is as funny as it is rewarding. I’m also a huge coffee, wine and gin enthusiast.

Any recommendations for things to do in Glasgow?

I do love The Butterfly & The Pig – great veggie food and one of my favourite bars.

Are there any events you would like to see us run?

I certainly wouldn’t be disappointed with a gin tasting evening!
