The Big Bang – The RSNO opens its doors for Mahler Symphony No8 final rehearsal

Witness and share ‘the genesis of the new symphonic universe’

Date: Thursday 29 May
Time: 6.30pm to 7.45pm
Venue: Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

To celebrate the forthcoming performances of Mahler’s Symphony No8 Symphony of a Thousand the RSNO and Music Director Peter Oundjian are inviting supporters of the Orchestra who engage with social media to attend the final rehearsal and help share the experience of this epic work, featuring massive orchestra, several choruses and on this occasion eight international soloists each from a different Commonwealth country.

Departing from the usual orchestral concert-going etiquette, attendees will be actively encouraged to participate in social media activity during the rehearsal, using the method of your choice. All we ask is that, wherever possible, attendees tag the RSNO on Facebook, Twitter (@rsno, @rsnochorus) and use the hashtag #Mahler to add our collective voice to the online Mahler-loving community.

Looking forward to welcoming you!
